SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION PROGRAMS
In keeping with the Archdiocesan Sacramental Policy for celebration of Sacraments with Children, our parish’s preparation programme focuses heavily on supporting parents in fulfilling their prime responsibility for the faith formation of their children.)
Our Sacramental Program is a parish based, parent led, school supported program. This means it is a partnership in which families, together with the Parish community and the support of our school, Queen of Apostles, work together in the preparation and celebration of the Sacraments of Confirmation, Eucharist and Reconciliation (Penance).

Sacrament of Confirmation and Eucharist Program:
We invite families with children in grade 3 and above to participate in the program. Our program combines the preparation for both Sacraments - Confirmation and Eucharist. We ask families who are considering enrolling their child/children into the program to attend mass regularly in the parish, as that is the best form of preparation you can give your child preparing to celebrate these Sacraments.
The date for the Confirmation mass can vary each year, due to the Bishop’s availability. The enrolment process usually begins mid-year, with a parent information session (compulsory attendance), Rite of Enrolment Welcome mass with the parish, a Sacramental Workshop (focusing on both Sacraments) and resources to help you complete the workbook with your child.

- Preparation Workshop: Sunday 20th July 2pm-4pm
- Confirmation Practice including Introductory Rite of Penance: Thursday 24th July 6.30pm
- Sacrament of Confirmation Evening: Thursday 31st July 7pm
- Sacrament of Eucharist Mass (First Holy Communion): Sunday 24th August 9am
Cost:
The cost of the program is $100 per child and this includes all resources required to complete the program as well as a professional photograph of your child receiving their Sacrament of Confirmation.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Penance) Program
The First Rite is prepared for and celebrated in the year your child is in Grade 5. The program preparation is held on a Sunday morning following mass and the Liturgy of Penance is celebrated the following weekend on a Saturday afternoon.
There is no cost associated with this program.
